The scientific journal “Izvestiya. Non-Ferrous Metallurgy” follows an Open Access policy, ensuring that all published materials are available to readers immediately upon publication without paywalls, delays, or time restrictions.

Starting March 10, 2026, the Editorial Board of the “Izvestiya. Non-Ferrous Metallurgy” is implementing a flexible funding model. Under this system, editorial and publishing services are to be paid for by authors whose research is supported by external targeted funding (e.g., Russian Science Foundation (RSF) grants, state assignments, international joint projects, or other funds and organizations with which the authors are not directly affiliated).

For such articles submitted after March 10, 2026, that have successfully passed the peer-review process and have been accepted for publication, the following editorial and publishing fees apply:

• Base Rate: 29,000 RUB — for articles up to 40,000 characters (including spaces).
• Excess Volume: +3,000 RUB for every additional 1,800 characters (including spaces).

Please note:

• Article Volume Calculation: The total character count includes all textual elements: abstract, main text, conclusions, references, figure captions, table titles, and all text contained within tables.
• Final Assessment: The final calculation of the article’s volume and the total cost is performed by the Editorial Board after the article is accepted. Authors may request a preliminary estimate by sending the final version of their manuscript to izv.vuz.2025@mail.ru.

Waiver Policy:

Authors who do not have targeted (external) funding for their research or for the publication of its results as well as those who have received a special invitation from the editor-in-chief to prepare an article are exempt from publication fees.
